Last week, the intermediate students at Clairlea learned a lot about Shakespeare, including how to insult others using Elizabethan language. On Wednesday, the students in Mr. Steers' and Mme. Skerletovic's class went to see the Classical Theatre Project's production of Twelfth Night. We participated in a workshop to demystify the language of Shakespeare and learned about the plot of the play. We learned that it has the same plot as the recently released movie, She's the Man, proving the themes of The Bard are still relevant today!
All intermediate students participated in a workshop by Shakespearience Performing Arts. This unique literacy based program is lead by professional actors and gets students up on their feet and engaged with the text.
