Clairlea Students attend " Keeping the Dream Alive: A tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. "

On Monday, January 18th, a selected group of students in grades one through eight attended a special concert at Roy Thomson Hall in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. The concert included dance and music performances by TDSB students. The concert included a performance by internationally acclaimed songstress, Deborah Cox. Here is what some of our students said about the experience:

" We learned that everyone is equal, no matter what skin colour, race, or religion. Everyone is capable of great feats." - Grade 8 student

" We learned to use our words, not our fists. "- Grade 3 student

" The concert really moved us, about thinking how we treat each other." - Grade 5 student

The students who attended the trip will share their experiences with classmates.
